A pincushion for thread work. Small enough to fit in your workspace or sewing box. The back side is actually very charming. The silk threads tied in a spiral shape are very cute. Goat leather is lined on the inside of the bottom to prevent the needle from piercing it.
When working with yarn, you inevitably end up with scraps of thread. I don't want to call them lint, so I don't throw them away. I wondered if I could use the cute thread for something, so I used it as batting for a pincushion. The round dome I crocheted is packed with short pieces of wild silk thread.
